Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for maintenance and repairs to all production equipment, and the upkeep of the various buildings, and grounds. This positions will be expected to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain both facility, and production equipment. The goal of this position along with the entire maintenance team is to ensure production activity and product quality can continuously be adhered to with minimal downtime, and consistent product quality.

Essential Functions:

  • Installs new or relocated equipment.
  • Performs diagnosis and maintenance work on equipment.
  • Conduct functional tests of electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Maintains operating condition of buildings and grounds.
  • Accurate completion of Preventative Maintenance records.
  • Report all problems that prevent you from completing your assigned task to your Supervisor.
  • Work in cooperation with other team members.
  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair buildings and grounds.


Working Conditions:

  • Generally inside clean, air conditioned building with occasional work outside
  • Occasional business travel required

Experience and Skills:

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Five plus years of industrial maintenance experience or related occupation required.
  • Required general computer skills.
  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to organize materials, tools and equipment with 5S concepts.
  • Works well in a team-based environment with limited supervision.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, compressors, motors, controllers, pumps, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
  • Requires dexterity skills: using hand tools, stooping, standing, and must be able to lift objects up to 75lbs consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, PLC logic diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of AC electrical circuits including 3 phase.
  • Understanding of motor controls and the ability to troubleshoot transformers, motors, and relay logic circuits.
  • Ability to troubleshoot process controls (PLC, sensors, etc.).
  • Knowledge of mechanical physics (machining fundamentals).
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems fundamentals.
  • Understand mechanical drawing, & diagrams with the ability to interpret machine specifications.
  • Understanding of HVAC controls.
  • Ability to rebuild basic pneumatic/hydraulic valves, pumps, & regulators
  • Basic carpentry and construction knowledge (drywall, tile, painting)
  • Knowledge of basic OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to operate common hand or power tools, motorized lifts, forklifts, etc.
