Job Description:

Position Summary: Support Planning Manager in optimizing sell-through at major accounts by analyzing POS data and creating appropriate POG.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop product assortments and merchandising programs utilizing plan-o-gram software.

  • Analyze sell-through reports from retailers to determine optimal mix of products.

  • Analyze internal shipment reports to determine best sellers for planogram recommendations.

  • Work with Planning Manager to develop turnkey channel specific/ B2B assortments

  • Become an expert at new JDA Space Planning platform.

  • Work to ensure JDA product file is up to date with most recent items.

  • Work to incorporate new items from product launches into existing plan-o-grams

  • Work in a cross functional manner with Sales, Licensing, and other departments to improve efficiency of the function.

  • Collect and organize weekly POS reports.

  • Learn the best practices of key stores for each account and apply them across the retailers’ locations.

  • Maintain product image file (Shelf Logic) ensuring date images are available for upcoming planograms.

  • Support Planning Manager in development and review of new product mixes for key customers on a local, regional and corporate level.

  • Analyze sales data, develop and monitor improvement plans

  • Be able to work autonomously and be a self-starter.

  • Think out of the box and bring new ideas to the company.

Experience and Skills:



    Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:

    • 6+ years’ experience in merchandising in national or regional department stores

    • College Degree in marketing, merchandising or related field required

    • Solid experience in creating strategic product mixes and plans

    • Proven ability to tactically execute strategic plans

    • Advanced personal computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint & MS Word

    • Excellent presentation skills

    • Ability to travel
