Job Description:

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for processing information pertaining to merchandise to be returned to the manufacturer because of defects per the Tervis Made for Life Guarantee. The Retail Warranty Associate will also ensure customers visiting our Coconut Point store will have a positive shopping experience that translates into sales.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Welcome Customers to the store promptly and personally
  • Understand and educate customers on the Tervis Made for Life (MFL) defective return policy & procedures
  • Meet with MFL customers and analyze defective products to decide if returned products meet the MFL guidelines
  • Process MFL exchanges at store level and record customer and product information needed
  • Operate Cash Register/POS system/Credit Card Machine
  • Prepare products to be returned to Tervis Corporate
  • Call customers for MFL pickups or issues
  • Track outstanding MFL orders
  • Educate customers on Tervis products and services including personalization and custom orders
  • Utilize suggestive selling/up selling techniques using the SMILE program
  • Maintain store standards for cleanliness and organization
  • Track/drive sales goals
  • Maintain selling floor merchandise presentation
  • Assist in daily inventory replenishment/ticketing
  • Inform customers of custom order policies and procedures
  • Adhere to custom order and trademark/register mark policy and procedures

Experience and Skills:

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Open availability to include work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Bending, stooping and overhead reaching required.
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
  • Previous retail and cash handling experience preferred.
